We are a small practice based in Castlemaine, looking to add to our small team of creative, empathetic and friendly therapists.We use a play-based therapy approach (DIR Floortime) that is flexible, dynamic and tailored to the child's unique interests and needs. We use a family-centred and coaching based approach where the parent and child's priorities and needs are at the forefront. We are particularly looking for applicants with a sense of curiosity, playfulness, creativity and willingness to learn.We all bring our complementary passions and interests in music, yoga, gardening, art and dance to our therapy sessions and invite you to share your passions too! We have an exciting, fully equipped Sensory Gym that the kids just love, but we also flexibly offer nature-based therapy in our garden, at the nature reserve or playground, as well as of course sessions at home, Kinder or school.Why work with us? We hold fortnightly team training sessions and quarterly full day professional development days to deepen your clinical reasoning and build your confidence as a therapist.A high level of internal support and training from experienced therapists. We offer ongoing fortnightly supervision sessions and plenty of training and support tailored to your learning needs. If you are an early career therapist, you will receive 4 weeks of paid 1:1 direct training, joint sessions, shadowing and coaching, before you are given your own independent caseload.Flexibility to develop and offer group programs based on your complementary skills and passions. However, due to high demand from our clients, availability in the afternoon is important and applicants who are available to work on Saturdays will be prioritised.A diverse and engaging caseload of children and young people aged 2-21 years.A varied mix of clinic-based work and community visits, depending on your interest- A reasonable and achievable KPI expectation of 50% billable hours.Flexibility to do admin work from home if desired.A fully equipped Sensory Gym with an extensive range of games, equipment and assessments.Option to take extended flexible leave during Victorian school holidays.Essential Requirements:Qualification in Occupational Therapy (OT) as recognised by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain.First Aid & CPR Training or willingness to obtain.A full driver's license and access to a vehicle.The right to live and work in Australia long-term.Able to commit to minimum 12 month contract.A demonstrable passion for working with children and young people.Flexibility, creativity and spontaneity - a willingness to follow a child's lead and have fun!In your application please include your CV and a maximum 1-2 page cover letter outlining why you'd be a great fit for Baobab Therapy.
