This non-for-profit organization is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join their Allied Health Team in providing exceptional care to NDIS Aged Care patients over 65 with Motor Neuron Disease or Kennedy's Disease. Part-time and Full-Time Opportunities available.
As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for: Providing face-to-face treatment sessions for patients in the clinic and out in the community Creating therapy plans, taking progress notes, and writing NDIS progress reports Installing necessary home modifications and assistive technology Occasionally prescribing wheelchairs About the Role: You will be based in the clinic located near Rocklea and out in the community. Your community-based work will be capped to a particular area to avoid lots of travel, and a company vehicle will be available for use for community visits.
Your role also involves billing a maximum of 5 clients a day face to face (25 billable hours a week) for full-time staff members, which will include report writing, face-to-face sessions, and travel.
You will be provided with a lot of support, including weekly or fortnightly supervision as needed, access to the DSC training to build your knowledge of the NDIS, and a flexible professional development allowance.
About the Organisation: You will be working alongside a supportive Allied Health Team comprising Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, and an Allied Health Assistant. The team is committed to providing excellent care to patients and is involved in research and management of MND, which provides you with first-hand exposure to new supportive technologies and studies.
