We deliver innovative and flexible services to empower people to thrive and live a great life, and we are committed to a philosophy that respects the rights of individuals to make informed choices about their lives.About the roleBased in Darwin (NT), we are looking for a New Graduate Occupational Therapist to deliver occupational therapy services utilising a person-centred approach that promotes choice and control to participants in relation to their NDIS goals. You will also have the opportunity to consolidate your skills, grow your caseload and flourish in your first professional role.Responsibilities include:Working in a culturally diverse environment, providing a contemporary, evidence-based occupational therapy service, including assessment, treatment planning and evaluation, for people presenting with a wide range of conditions and syndromes.Provide independent, specialist and clinical input into therapy program planning, development and delivery of core business.Ability to implement WHS, Risk Management and Quality Assurance requirements.Contribute to the development of individual and group programs within Carpentaria Therapy Service areas.Maintain internal and external stakeholder communication.About youThis position is open to candidates seeking either full-time or part-time employment. We are looking for someone with demonstrated knowledge of best practice for Paediatric and/or Adults Occupational Therapy assessment, assistive technology prescription and training, including environmental modification and upper limb management.You will have sound interpersonal and written communication skills, demonstrated clinical experience in supporting clients to achieve goals working in a person/family centred practice model.In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:Undergraduate or Post Graduate qualifications in Occupational Therapy.Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).You will also need to hold (or have the ability to obtain) a current Ochre Card, Criminal History Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid certificate, evidence of Australian work rights, and an NT Drivers Licence.Why work with us?We provide a positive work environment that encourages and promotes work/life balance, a sense of humour and having fun.
