About the role
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist for a maternity replacement to support educational goals facilitating students' participation through improving students' functional capacity and providing developmental opportunities to students with a disability.
About you
Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:
Development and provision of Occupational Therapy services Group, small group or individual service delivery through a consultative model which promotes social interaction and maximum inclusion and transfer of skills and knowledge Implementation of relevant informal and standardized assessments of skills as required for students with a wide range of disabilities and impairments Development and implementation of programs, strategies and materials to enable students to access goals set as part of Individual Learning Plans together with daily living skills Provision of consultation, education services, resources, strategies, advice and support for families and members of the college trans-disciplinary team in the areas of student access to programs and daily living skills Qualifications:
Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) or equivalent Desirable:
Some experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
