About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS Mallee Ward team as a CAMHS Clinician, where you will be responsible for:
The provision of expert clinical knowledge and/or interventions in child and adolescent mental health through the application of professional standards and adherence to policies, protocols and procedures while working within a model of person and family-centred care.
Implementing individual, family and/or other group therapies and specific programs using a range of models and skills as a single practitioner and/or as part of a multidisciplinary approach.
Working collaboratively with consumers in the development of individual care/treatment plans using a recovery framework.
Undertaking discipline-specific assessments and the development of formulations for both individuals and families, using knowledge and techniques from various therapeutic approaches to determine the most appropriate interventions.
Participating in the identification of mental health needs in the community and in the planning, execution, and evaluation of programs to meet those needs.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
An appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification that entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with Occupational Therapy Australia.
Demonstrated competence in occupational therapy assessment and treatment.
Clinical experience in the treatment and management of complex child and adolescent mental health issues.
Demonstrated ability to engage vulnerable families and implement clinical assessments and interventions of a complex nature in relation to children and adolescents experiencing mental health issues and their families, using a range of theoretical frameworks, including models of practice specific to occupational therapy.
The ability to work with a high degree of responsibility with limited supervision and direction.
