Occupational Therapist

In the role of Occupational Therapist at Sisson Clinic, you will be instrumental in enhancing the independence and quality of life for our village residents.
Your expertise will be vital in assessing, planning, and delivering personalised treatment plans that prevent dysfunction and improve daily living activities.

Your work will encompass both clinical excellence and compassionate care, ensuring each resident feels valued and supported every step of the way.
Position Details:

Schedule: 3 days per week, totalling 24 hours (flexible days)
Locations: Anglicare's Castle Hill and Glenhaven Green sites
Team Collaboration: Work alongside a dedicated team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Registered Nurses

Specific Accountabilities:

Respect and Dignity: Ensure all residents are treated with empathy and dignity, providing them with choices to live their daily lives in a way that is special and unique to them, consistent with their wellbeing and the wellbeing of others.
Assessment and Planning: Develop and update plans/recommendations for residents by conducting thorough assessments, documenting needs, and reviewing as required.
High-Quality Care: Ensure clients/residents achieve the best possible outcomes by providing high-quality occupational therapy.
Team Collaboration: Share specialist knowledge with team members and inform them about changes to residents.
Urgent Needs Management: Understand and address the specific urgent needs of residents/clients, deciding on the best support strategies and implementing them effectively.
Safety Culture: Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy workplace, comply with safe work practices, participate in workplace consultation activities, and actively engage in safety activities, including hazard and incident reporting as prescribed in the WHSIMS.
What You'll Bring:

Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
Experience in Gerontology preferred
NSW Drivers Licence
