Job Description Join our dynamic Tasmanian team as a full-time or part-time Occupational Therapist in Bellerive, Hobart. In this role, you'll conduct comprehensive assessments, deliver targeted interventions, and evaluate outcomes. You'll manage a diverse caseload, prescribe assistive technology, and ensure person-centred care is at the heart of everything you do. This position is ideal for both experienced professionals and newly graduated OTs who are passionate about making a difference.
Key responsibilities: Conduct occupational therapy assessments, interventions, and evaluations. Provide individual and group-based services. Manage a client caseload in alignment with service provision guidelines and external agency requirements. Prescribe assistive technology to enhance client positioning and function. Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, i ncluding our Dog Assisted Therapy program. Maintain accurate and timely records, assessments, case plans, and documentation within the Client Management System. Deliver an integrated and holistic approach to client care. Desired Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent, and AHPRA registration. Strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to make autonomous decisions. Demonstrated ability to implement person- and family-centred interventions. Excellent administrative and organisational skills. Personal commitment to the organisation's philosophy, objectives, and mission. Valid Driver's Licence. Hold or be willing to obtain National Police Clearance and Working with Vulnerable People Check (NDIS endorsed). Sound knowledge of current philosophy, legislation, standards and policies relating to disability and aged community care services in both the state and national arena. Understanding of the Disability and Early Childhood Sectors. Experience in providing occupational therapy services to a paediatric disability caseload. Proven ability to manager a client caseload, consistently achieving service delivery targets and deadlines. Understanding of funding models, specifically the NDIS. Benefits:
