Key Responsibilities:

Assess clients' physical, emotional, and social needs to develop personalized treatment plans aimed at improving their ability to perform daily tasks.
Use a range of therapeutic techniques to help clients overcome physical and mental challenges, building their confidence and independence.
Educate clients and their families on strategies and adaptive techniques to support daily living activities.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and social workers, to provide a comprehensive approach to client care.
Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure positive outcomes.
Advocate for clients, helping them access necessary resources, equipment, and support services.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
Current registration with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council).
Knowledge and experience in working with a variety of client needs, including physical disabilities, mental health issues, and developmental challenges.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a person-centered approach to therapy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with specific populations, such as pediatric, geriatric, or mental health clients.
Additional certifications in areas like sensory integration, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), or hand therapy.
Familiarity with adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
