A Full time dynamic role for an Occupational Therapist to deliver services to clients of all ages across the Northern Territory.
The position involves a mix of clinic-based and outreach work, with regular travel for day trips or overnight stays.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, providing therapy, supervision, and professional development training while managing a diverse caseload of children, adolescents, and adults.
Location: Darwin, Northern Territory Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: $80,000 – $110,000 (depending on experience) Start Date: Late January or early February Key Responsibilities: Deliver OT services to children (ages 2+), adolescents, and adults with a range of disabilities.
Perform psycho-social, sensory processing, and other relevant OT assessments and prepare detailed reports.
Provide supervision to OT students and less experienced staff.
Lead department meetings and facilitate quarterly in-house professional development training.
Prescribe equipment and conduct home assessments.
Travel regularly to provide outreach services across the NT.
Collaborate in multidisciplinary group supervision and department-specific meetings.
Essential Skills and Experience: Minimum 4 years' experience as an Occupational Therapist.
Strong background in supervising and mentoring OT students and new graduates.
Proven ability to lead departmental meetings and deliver professional development training.
Expertise in psycho-social assessments, sensory processing, equipment prescription, and home assessments.
Experience working with children with disabilities.
Proficiency in conducting assessments and producing detailed reports.
Qualifications and Registrations: APHRA registration.
Professional Indemnity Insurance.
OHCRE card and a current Criminal History Check (not older than 3 months).
Eligibility for a Medicare Provider Number.
