The successful candidate will be given an opportunity to participate in improving other people's lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred services, working with a range of clients across a range of care needs from short-term involvement to complex, long-term needs. This will involve, but is not limited to:Providing a range of assessments and reports, e.g. Sensory Profile, Functional Assessments, Cognitive Functional Assessments, Multi-disciplinary Assessments (FASD, Motor Skills Assessment, Housing and Support Needs Assessments);Identifying Occupational Therapy goals with the person and/or their family or carers;Developing Occupational Therapy intervention plans;Providing Occupational Therapy support in a variety of settings including in the home, the community, in schools, the clinic, or via telehealth (where appropriate);Developing individual resources for the person and identifying useful strategies;Providing training for parents, carers, and/or support workers;Attending Care Team Meetings and providing Occupational Therapy specific input.Our Occupational Therapists have a variety of assessments tools available, e.g. Child and Adult/Adolescent Sensory Profile, WHODAS 2.0, Vineland-3, CEFI, PEDI-CAT, BOT-2, BRIE-2, HoNOS, LSP-16, DACSA, MSE, Interest Checklist, Role Checklist, etc.The position is suitable for experienced practitioners as well as recent graduates as we aim to tailor a caseload, supervision, and training to our practitioners' specific needs.While our office base and primary work is in Darwin, we also offer a range of opportunities to work regionally (e.g. Katherine, Alice Springs) and within remote Indigenous communities (e.g. Maningrida, Gunbalanya).
