Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Casual NDIS Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team.
As an integral member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality occupational therapy services to individuals with disabilities under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Your expertise will contribute to improving the lives of those you work with by promoting independence, enhancing functional abilities, and fostering a sense of accomplishment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' functional limitations, needs, and goals within the context of their NDIS plans.
Develop individualized treatment plans and intervention strategies tailored to clients' unique abilities, goals, and circumstances.
Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions aimed at improving clients' physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional well-being.
Collaborate closely with clients, their families, support coordinators, and other allied health professionals to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to care.
Assist clients in enhancing their daily living skills, mobility, self-care, and community participation, in line with their NDIS goals.
Offer adaptive strategies, assistive devices, and environmental modifications to optimize clients' independence and safety.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including progress notes, reports, and outcome measures, in compliance with professional standards and NDIS requirements.
Continuously monitor and evaluate clients' progress and adjust intervention plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
Provide education and training to clients, caregivers, and support staff on relevant therapeutic techniques and strategies.
Keep abreast of the latest developments in occupational therapy practices, disability services, and NDIS policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's or higher degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
Professionally registered with the NDIS.
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly within the NDIS framework, is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of person-centered approaches and the ability to adapt interventions to individual client needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities.
Organizational skills to manage caseload, documentation, and scheduling effectively.
Familiarity with NDIS guidelines, policies, and documentation requirements.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a flexible and adaptable manner.
Working Conditions:
This position is on a casual basis, with the flexibility to provide services as needed based on client demand, with the possibility to transition to part-time or full-time based on business need.
Services may be delivered in a variety of settings, including clients' homes, community centres, schools, and other relevant environments.
Travel within the designated service area may be required.

NSW Driver Licence and Comprehensive Insurance for your car.
Working With Children Check.
National Police Check or NDIS Workers Clearance (preferred).
