About us Set at the top of Wickham Terrace, Brisbane's busiest medical precinct, above the Roma Street Parklands in the heart of the CBD, Brisbane Private Hospital is an acute and rehabilitation hospital with 181 beds, 17 operating theatres, and dedicated surgical, ICU, and rehabilitation wards. Brisbane Private Hospital specializes in Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Spinal, ENT, Pain, and Rehabilitation with additional specialties including Plastics, Urology, General Surgery, Gynaecology, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Brisbane Private Hospital also delivers a leading private drug and alcohol program, Damascus Health Services, from its dedicated drug and alcohol rehabilitation unit.
As an Occupational Therapist, your responsibilities will include:
Planning, assessing, implementing, and evaluating clinical care in collaboration with patients/families and the multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and health outcomes.Incorporating the provision of education and support to patients and their carer/family for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, discharge plans, or end-of-life needs.Committing to an ongoing learning and professional development portfolio to ensure case mix requirements are supported and registration requirements are met.Maintaining current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.Having a minimum of 1 year of experience.Holding a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.Demonstrating skills, knowledge, and clinical reasoning in occupational therapy with experience and competency in geriatrics, general medical, post-general surgical, and neurological areas (including FIM accreditation).Exhibiting excellent time management, communication, and organization skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Possessing highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.Why Healthscope?
