SAL Consulting Group is a consulting organisation with a focus on working with complex individuals, systems, and organisations throughout Australia. Our team of consultants provide various types of support and interventions to children and young people; people with a disability; and people who have mental health support needs, their families, and the organisations and government departments that support them. This includes:
Clinical Support Behaviour Support Clinical Supervision A range of assessments Therapy Health and Allied Health Services Training and Organisational Practice and Professional Development We are an accredited provider of Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) through the Child Trauma Academy in the USA, an accredited NDIS Provider, and a Registered Training Organisation.
Our work includes working with a diverse population, including providing support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families.

As our existing Allied Health team continues to do amazing work, our referral base keeps quickly growing, creating opportunities to expand our Allied Health team. The successful candidate will be given an opportunity to participate in improving other people's lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred services, working with a range of clients across a range of care needs from short-term involvement to complex, long-term needs. This will involve, but is not limited to:
Providing a range of assessments and reports, e.g., Sensory Profile, Functional Assessments, Cognitive Functional Assessments, Multi-disciplinary Assessments (FASD, Motor Skills Assessment, Housing and Support Needs Assessments) Identifying Occupational Therapy goals with the person and/or their family or carers Developing Occupational Therapy intervention plans Providing Occupational Therapy support in a variety of settings including in the home, the community, in schools, the clinic, or via telehealth (where appropriate) Developing individual resources for the person and identifying useful strategies Providing training for parents, carers, and/or support workers Attending Care Team Meetings and providing Occupational Therapy specific input The position is suitable for experienced practitioners as well as recent graduates as we aim to tailor a caseload, supervision, and training to our practitioners' specific needs.
While our office base and primary work is in Darwin, we also offer a range of opportunities to work regionally (e.g., Katherine, Alice Springs) and within remote Indigenous communities (e.g., Maningrida, Gunbalanya). There is an option to work from home for administration/report writing.

Minimum Requirements: A degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent and registration (or eligibility to register) with AHPRA. Desirable Experience, Interest, and Skills: Experience or interest in working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or experiences of trauma who have complex needs Experience or interest in comprehensive assessments of individuals' functional needs; sensory assessment and profiling; and holistic lifestyle assessment and associated goal setting Experience or interest in administration and interpretation of a variety of assessment tools Due to the nature of our business, it is required that our staff:
