We are currently on the lookout for a talented Occupational Therapist to join our diverse team in beautiful Albany, Western Australia.By joining the team at MSWA you'll put your knowledge and experience to good use by providing and coordinating evidence-based OT services including screening, assessments, interventions, and evaluations.Our OT team provides advisory, educational, and support services to clients living with multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions such as Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson's, Huntington's, Stroke, and Acquired Brain Injuries.Here is a snapshot of what you will do:Assessments: Evaluate the impact of clients' conditions and their goals within their home, workplace, and self-care tasks.Collaboration: Liaise with a variety of staff, clients, stakeholders, and equipment providers to recommend and provide necessary equipment.Therapy Interventions: Implement retraining, education, safety protocols, and equipment usage.Support Services: Offer advisory, educational, and support services to clients and their families.Knowledge Sharing: Mentor student Occupational Therapists, Allied Health Assistants, and volunteers.Working closely with our clients and their carers, you'll help them identify and achieve their goals for maintaining independence and maximizing participation in their everyday lives.Our OT team has specialist knowledge within the neurological area especially in fatigue management, sleep disturbances, health, cognitive changes, and high-end assistive technology solutions.What We Offer:A collaborative and supportive work environment where no two days are the same.
