Occupational Therapist – headspace (Private Practitioners) Hervey Bay, Hervey Bay & Fraser Coast QLD Physiotherapy, OT & Rehabilitation (Healthcare & Medical) headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to young people aged 12 to 25. The service is designed to make it as easy as possible for a young person and their family to get the help they need for problems affecting their wellbeing. About the role:We are seeking expressions of interest from Occupational Therapists who are experienced in providing high quality, evidence-based interventions to young people for our headspace centres. In this role you will provide private practice services and high quality, evidence-based interventions to young people aged 12-25. This role is open to those eligible to use Medicare services. Located in Hervey Bay and Maryborough, our headspace centres are a 'one stop shop' with an enthusiastic and dedicated team of co-located service providers, offering comprehensive support to young people in the four core areas of: primary/sexual health, mental health, drug and alcohol services, and vocational/educational services.About you:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational TherapyCurrent AHPRA registrationProfessional indemnity insuranceEligibility to provide Medicare Benefits Schedule services.Minimum of two years of experience in the assessment, diagnosis and provision of evidence-based treatments of mental health disorders and preferably youthExcellent skills in engaging and working with young people, their families and significant othersAbility to work independently, with strong organisational and time management skillsCommitment to ongoing professional developmentWorking with children checkWillingness to undergo a police records check.WMQ's vision for reconciliation is for all people to stand unified in an equal and inclusive future.
