You'll come up to our Brisbane (Oxley) office monthly for team meetings, Professional Development and ongoing mentoring and support.As a trusted therapist, you'll manage your caseload with autonomy while being fully backed by our supportive team of occupational therapists and allied health professionals.What You'll DoComprehensive Assessments: Understand client goals and needs through functional assessments, home assessments, and FCA evaluations.
You'll have the ability to gain additional skills in home modifications, AAC and home automation over time as well.Individualised Therapy: Deliver targeted interventions aligned with client preferences and priorities.Equipment Prescriptions: Assess, trial, and prescribe aids, appliances, and modifications to enhance independence or caregiver support.Education: Empower clients, caregivers, and stakeholders with essential knowledge.Collaborative Care: Work closely with clients' support networks, including health professionals, support coordinators, and specialists.With a strong focus on a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) approach, you'll actively share insights to ensure clients receive cohesive, evidence-based care.About YouYou're an organised problem-solver with a passion for working with progressive neurological conditions or palliative care.
While experience with MND is ideal, we welcome your enthusiasm for upskilling in this unique and rewarding field.Experience with home modifications (minor and major), AAC, or home automation is highly desirable.A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy with full AHPRA registration.Minimum 3 years of clinical experience.Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.A current driver's license, vehicle, and ability to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check.About UsAt MND Queensland, we're more than a team—we're a community committed to helping individuals with MND live with dignity and achieve their goals.
