Position Description:
As part of a supportive, diverse, and multidisciplinary team, you'll provide occupational therapy services in collaboration with a range of specialists. You'll get to treat based on clinical need without the barriers that are often present in private practice funding, offering long-term treatment and prevention strategies. Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Supporting participants inclusion in the communities and activities they choose;
Assessing clients' emotional, cognitive, developmental and physical capabilities using clinical observations and standardised assessments;
Planning and directorship of programs through the use of vocational, recreational, social and educational activities on an individual and group basis;
Assessing clients' functional potential in their home, leisure, work and school environments, and recommend environmental adaptations to maximise their performance;
Providing advice to family members, carers, employers and teachers about adapting clients' home, leisure, work and school environments;
Delivering goal-directed early childhood supports;
Assisting with community education activities to improve the health of individuals by raising awareness of healthy lifestyles, diseases and disabilities.
Qualifications & Experience: To be considered you must be registered, or eligible to obtain registration with AHPRA and have a passion for providing quality healthcare;
Hold a relevant Occupational Therapy qualification;
Have a current, unrestricted 'C' class Australian Driver's Licence; and
Have the right to live and work in Australia.
