Job DescriptionAbout the Role Provide assessment and effective therapeutic interventions using established evidence-based techniques and methodologies of proven effectiveness that is adapted to the individual needs and treatment plan for each client.
Support and empower parents and other carers to implement strategies that positively contribute to child development and wellbeing.
Duties Provide therapeutic interventions using established techniques and methodologies of proven effectiveness from a sound evidence base.Main focus will be to provide targeted group therapy programs to support the development of ages 0-8, to ready children for school.Design and develop group therapy programs to assist children in readiness for school.Commit to a high level of quality management for ATSICHS through use of LogiQC quality management systems and Mobnet pathways.Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels, which support the nurturing of internal and external relationships, facilitates cooperation, trust and respect, values differences and diversity and guides, mentors and focuses on the development of staff.Culture Enjoy working in an organisation that makes a difference in the community.

Permanent Full-Time role.Salary $92,406 per annum.11.5% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay).Work for a leading Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, community-controlled organisation.Supportive and collaborative team of dedicated professionals.COVID-19 Requirement Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine is encouraged.Desired Skills and ExperienceRequired Bachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy with general registration by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA).Demonstrated ability to apply a high level of clinical judgement and to prepare and present accurate reports relating to the outcome assessment and intervention of a client.Ability to work with a culturally and socially diverse group of clients, and to apply a culturally responsive framework to guide interventions, with the support of staff and management.Demonstrated ability to administer assessments and undertake specialised, comprehensive clinical assessments.Demonstrated ability to apply assessment to both clinical formulation and the delivery of therapeutic intervention to clients.Design and provide targeted group programs for ages 0-8.A willingness to provide therapeutic supports and engagement to patients outside of a clinic environment.Current Police Check.Preferred Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.Previous experience working with clients who have an NDIS package.How to apply If this sounds like you, please submit your application by following the links on the recruitment page.
