The Role The role of the OTA is to plan and organise staff to carry out therapeutic activities under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist, Manager and or Registered Nurse. This
This role is offered on a permanent part time basis working 63.5 hrsper fortnight. Tuesday 1000-1800
Friday 0900-1500
Sunday 1000-1800
Week 2 Monday 1000-1800
Tuesday 1000-1800

Key responsibilities: Prepares and assists fellow OTA staff to conduct resident activities and outings correctly and safely.Assists and ensures the records, statistics and progress notes are completed as required by the Occupational Therapist.Assists with mobilising and transferring residents – moving from place to place and position to position.Assists with residents' personal care needs to the extent necessary to ensure resident safely, comfort and satisfactory completion of planned programs.About you The successful candidate will have current knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety principles and practices within health/aged care environment. Will be able to show exceptional organizational skills and the ability to complete busy workloads and respond to changing priorities.
Evidence of COVID-19 and Current Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policiesAbility to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)Successful completion of pre-employment physical and reference checksSuccessful completion of drug and alcohol test and pre-medical form.A current Senior First AidMust be willing to attend a 2-day Induction based at our Amana Living TrainingCompletion of Certificate III or Certificate IV of Occupational Therapy AssistantPrevious experience in a health/aged care environmentHave two years' experience in OTA or related roles.How to apply If you are interested in this role and meet the essential criteria, please click the "apply now" button.
