Salary range of $70,000 – $100,000 Eligible to Relocation Assistance + Professional Development through NT PHN 5 weeks leave Suitable for a new graduate or early career (up to two years post-graduation) What's the role?
Work closely with mature aged individuals and with varying disabilities to promote independence, improve daily living skills, and enhance overall quality of life.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' functional abilities, identifying areas of impairment and formulating individualised treatment plans.
Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions and develop appropriate goals to address clients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
Collaborate with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring optimal outcomes.
Educate clients, caregivers, and families on strategies to maximize independence and enhance overall well-being.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.
Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in the field of occupational therapy, applying evidence-based practices in your work.
Is this the right role for you?
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy Current AHPRA registration (or eligibility) Demonstrated experience working as an OT, preferably in a similar clinical setting.
Sound knowledge of OT principles, techniques, and best practices.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and effectively communicate with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Current Driver's Licence, Police Clearance, NDIS worker Screening, Medicare Provider registration, WWC, relevant Vaccinations (or willingness to acquire) Working rights in Australia NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer relocation support and clinical educational financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
