As a truly state-wide operation, our services reach Darwin, Katherine, Jabiru, Bathurst Island, Maningrida, Tennant Creek and Gove, and rural and remote areas throughout the Northern Territory (on demand).
Role Overview:
As a critical member of the multi-disciplinary team, the Occupational Therapist will have the following responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of clients. Provide appropriate skilled clinical assessment and interventions across a range of clinical areas and service delivery modes (e.g. home, office, school, group, individual, transdisciplinary). Completing Functional assessments to establish capable environments around the person living with a disability. Complete Psycho-Social Assessments with adult clients. Prescribe and maintain supportive equipment, technology and seating. Provide specialist advice and service in a more specialised area of Occupational Therapy. Provide clinical services of a more complex nature and exercise independent professional judgement when required to solve problems and manage cases where principles, procedures, techniques, and methods require expansion, adaption, or modification. Provides consultations to schools, families, case workers, support workers and carers. Candidate requirements: Relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy, OTA membership, and unconditional registration with APHRA. OCHRE Card is required prior to commencement. Current Criminal History Check (or ability to obtain). Current Driver's License. Eligible for registration of a Medicare Provider Number, and willingness to deliver Medicare Funded Services. Experience with child, adolescent and adult therapy and assessments Remote position: Fly to Darwin once every four to six weeks for one week Continue to see clients remotely by utilising our double robotics robots within the clinic Flights, accommodation and car are provided while in Darwin What we offer: $83,250 - $123,000 per annum, depending on experience Five weeks of annual leave and monthly RDO Quarterly professional development and team-building days Rewarding work and the ability to influence the lives of children and families across the Northern Territory.
