About the role The Occupational Rehabilitation Coordinator will coordinate and manage the rehabilitation of employees who have experienced injuries or illnesses (both work related and non-work related).
The primary goal is to facilitate the efficient, safe and productive return of affected employees to their full pre-condition employment.
The role involves implementing both proactive and reactive strategies to reduce lost work hours and effectively manage WorkCover premium outcomes.
This position requires collaboration with key decision-makers at WDHS to ensure that policies, procedures, systems, and services are in place to promote safety, occupational health, injury prevention, and rehabilitation across all operations and functions.
The position will ensure timely coordination, communication and follow up of required activities and actions and that outcomes are coordinated and communicated to the right people for the delivery of required outcomes.
Key responsibilities include: Manage WDHS portfolio of injured workers (both work related and non-work related injuries) including: Overseeing the rehabilitation of injured employees Maintain accurate, timely and detailed case management records and follow up incident reports Use the Riskman incident management program to efficiently track and document cases Engage and liaise with internal stakeholders i.e.
Managers, OHS consultants and employees and external stakeholders including WorkCover agents, rehabilitation providers, medical clinicians and allied health practitioners; Ensure all aspects of injury management administration and financial aspects of the injury management process is appropriately documented and processed ; Develop detailed reports on injury management performance, including time of work, WorkCover claims, premiums and injury-related data; Liaise with WorkCover agents regarding claims management to ensure timely and effective resolution of claims Monitor and manage the reporting of WorkCover claims and premiums, ensuring that all aspects of the process are documented and managed appropriately.
