ABOUT THE ROLE This role is perfect for a recent healthcare graduate looking to gain some hands-on experience, or an experienced individual looking for a change.
We are a large, multi-faceted organisation looking for someone to respond to our employees in need of medical care and logistics. Our healthcare professional must be prepared to provide high-quality care in a variety of situations, including workplace and occupational injuries and illnesses.
Our Company is in the manufacturing industry, and your primary role would be to provide pre-hospital care to emergency injuries and support to those with acute injuries and illnesses.
This role will see you in a supportive, dynamic, and at times high pressure environment. A typical shift may see you dealing with a wide variety of incidents including muscular injuries, trauma, amputations, illness, mental health, cardiac, stroke, substance abuse/intoxication, burns, etc.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:
Diploma/Degree in Paramedical Science, Nursing or Cert IV Healthcare either holding registration in respective field or be willing to obtain registration Be a team player with a positive attitude, great communication skills and enjoy working with people Ability to undergo a criminal history and working with children check Current unencumbered driver's license Up-to-date immunisations Ability to work 40 hours per week Be legally allowed to work in Australia Be punctual Be willing to learn Be flexible ADDITIONAL ROLES Being experienced in the following criteria is desirable but not essential. Our Company will provide further training and development if inexperienced in the listed areas below:
Support Workers Compensation Manager with Return to Work Program and Workers Compensation related duties Performing work site assessments, and job task analyses across a variety of job-tasks Assist in Pre-Employment Medical Assessments of future and current employees Clinical interpretation of medical certificates and allied health reports Delivery of Injury Prevention initiatives and programs Help co-ordinate injury cases to assist with a safe Return to Work, in accordance with legislative and departmental requirements And all other relevant duties We are committed to preventing workplace injuries, minimising risks and improving the overall health and safety of our workers.
You will also undertake and complete daily administrative tasks including handling confidential employee records, keeping thorough records of workplace injuries and other documents as required by the company.
