Reporting to the Site Occupational Hygienist, the successful candidate will support reviews of exposure risk profiles by undertaking monitoring and sampling of workgroups across site.Your attention to detail and time management skills will enable you to meet monitoring targets within determined schedules. Having a flexible approach to your work will help you meet monitoring targets with consideration of emerging work and competing priorities, while supporting departments in hazard identification and risk management processes.This is a residential role, based in Port Pirie, South Australia on a Monday to Friday roster and is on limited Tenure Contract ending in December 2025.Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:Provide technical advice to the site including subject matter expertise in assigned areas of responsibility.Work cooperatively with the SHH team and ensure effectiveness of team function to meet identified goals and targets.Undertake monitoring and sampling while meeting the targets within planned schedules.Document activities and observations relating to monitoring and sampling in the workplace.Enter results and data associated with monitoring and sampling into spreadsheets and data management systems with a high degree of accuracy.Provide support in the preparation and delivery of reports detailing the findings of monitoring and sampling.Ensure that a proactive approach is taken to identify and eliminate safety hazards and potential incidents.Qualifications, Skills & Experiences:Successful completion of Year 12.Practical experience in the workplace.Good computer literacy including MS Office, in particular Excel.Analytical and problem-solving skills and high attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent interpersonal and people skills.Ability to work effectively managing multiple tasks and accommodate changing priorities.What does working for Nyrstar mean?We offer a career of challenge, reward and growth in a company that is focused on being a leader in our field.
