Occupational Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Adviser

to join our dynamic and growing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring workplace health and safety, and maintaining high-quality standards across all operations. This role is integral in aligning our safety protocols with regulatory requirements, while ensuring compliance with industry quality assurance practices and our relevant ISO accreditations (ISO9001, ISO45001 and ISO14001).Responsibilities will include:Safety Management:

Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with Australian safety regulations.Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.Provide safety training and education to employees to promote a culture of safety in the workplace.Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near-misses, ensuring that root causes are identified, and preventive measures are implemented.Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) laws and regulations.

Quality Assurance:

Develop, implement, and maintain our quality assurance program that meets or exceeds industry standards.Conduct quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.Collaborate with various departments to ensure that quality control measures are integrated into all phases of production or service delivery.Manage non-conformances and coordinate corrective actions to address quality issues.Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the quality assurance system, recommending improvements as necessary.

Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure all safety and quality documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and meets regulatory requirements.Prepare and submit reports to management on safety and quality performance, trends, and improvements.Stay updated on changes to Australian safety and quality regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant.

Continuous Improvement:

Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to safety and quality.Promote a proactive approach to safety and quality assurance within the organisation.Support and drive the integration of safety and quality standards into company culture.

What we'll be looking for in you:Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety adviser or quality assurance role, preferably in a workshop or manufacturing environment.In-depth knowledge of Australian Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and quality assurance standards.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to train and mentor others.Proficiency in MS Office and safety management software.Sounds like you?
