Job Title: Occupational Health Manager Location: Site based - Derby (Burnaston) Salary: Up to £56,650 + benefits Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week Right to live and work in the UK is required for this role Role Summary The Occupational Health Manager (OHM) for this client is responsible for managing all aspects of clinical performance at both the Burnaston and Deeside sites. The OHM will own responsibility for ensuring that consistently high standards of service are being delivered to the client, through effective monitoring, clinical supervision and line management of the on-site multi-disciplinary team. The focus of the OHM will be to work in partnership with key stakeholders at the client and to build strong relationships to enable effective collaborative working to achieve measurable outputs determined in the annual occupational health and well-being objectives. A focus on quality and continuous improvement will be required to ensure standards are met, monitored, and maintained, team members are appropriately trained, supported and developed and that proactive corrective action is taken to address any improvement areas. The OHM will monitor the performance of their clinical teams using a pre-defined set of benchmarked targets which focus on productivity, customer satisfaction and quality. The OHM will be responsible for reviewing these targets on an on-going basis and taking action, where appropriate, to ensure that the targets are met. The OHM in conjunction with the governance team will be accountable for ensuring that the services delivered are in line with evidence, legislative requirements, best practice and Optima Health clinical standards. They will provide expert knowledge and clinical judgement and will take responsibility for managing occupational health clinical matters. They will also be responsible for the education, mentoring and development of clinical staff in collaboration with the governance and training team. The OHM will use extensive practice experience to evaluate, plan, provide and assist with the development of clinical services and staff capabilities to ensure that we are providing the highest standards of service and care to our client and its members. A full job description can be found at the bottom of this advert. Experience, skills and knowledge required for this role Experience of managing Occupational Health contracts. Clinical qualification as Nurse or Physiotherapist with registration with relevant professional body (NMC or HCPC). Experienced in Occupational Health clinical delivery as OHA or similar. Experience of managing a multi-disciplinary team of clinical and non clinical employees. Have good experience of using data as a tool to take the service forward. Effective communication and negotiation skills.
