The opportunity The Royal Freemasons community is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Health and Rehab Coordinator to join our team. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for the Occupational Health and Rehabilitation Coordinator of rehabilitation outcomes for workers, facilitating efficient and safe resumption of duties in line with capacity. An integral part of this role will be to ensure best practice outcomes and minimize the impact on the insurance premium for the organization.
Key responsibilities include: Proactively supporting staff to remain at work through supporting a safe work environment, upholding Occupational Health and Safety legislation, maintaining communication with site management, and facilitating early intervention.Manage the administration of the Workcover claims process by forming effective relationships with the organization's claims management provider and maintaining accurate record keeping.Facilitate a return to work to pre-injury hours and duties by working with the injured worker, their manager, their representatives and medical team, WorkSafe and other interested parties to ensure a positive return to work outcome.Effectively manage both statutory and common law claims to maximize outcomes for both the injured worker and the organization.Prepare reports for management on the status and performance of the Workcover process, premium management, RTW management data and financial outcomes.Benefits: More take-home pay with competitive salary packaging options up to $15,990, Novated leasing, plus an optional Meals and Entertainment card up to $2,650 per annum.Better work-life balance with consistent fortnightly rosters patterns for permanent positions - no rotating rosters!Career development, mentoring and leadership opportunities available.Confidential access to our Employee Assistance Program.Ongoing training and support; we care about your personal and professional development.Employee Referral Program - refer a friend and be rewarded.Free onsite parking.Qualifications, knowledge and experience required for the role: Essential: Certificate IV in Personal Injury Management or equivalent.At least 3 years' experience in an injury management role (or similar).Desirable: Experience in the Aged Care Industry (highly desirable).Tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline.Other requirements: It is a mandatory requirement when working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Clearance or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of this role. All aged care workers must be vaccinated against Covid-19 (3 vaccines) and are encouraged to receive the Flu-Vaccine; all successful applicants will be required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination prior to commencement.
