Reporting to the OHS Lead, you will be responsible for contributing to the capacity of the company to mine safely and lawfully by assisting in meeting legislative obligations through the effective provision of an occupational health and hygiene technical service to stakeholders.

This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.
Benefits include: Quarterly Bonus SchemeSalary sacrifice optionsIncreased leave entitlements for annual leave, paid primary and secondary parental leaveEmployee Assistance ProgramLong service leave pro rata after 5 years of continuous serviceAbout the role: Drive improvement in the overall effectiveness of the Occupational Hygiene program and champion worker healthMaintain the site's Health Management Plan and conduct Health Risk AssessmentsIdentify potential occupational health hazards and develop control plans to improve workplace conditionsFulfill the statutory roles of Mine Air Quality Officer and Noise OfficerContribute to company and statutory compliance obligations through the input of hygiene data and generation of quality reportsPerform Occupational Hygiene sampling in a timely and consistent manner to Australian Standards, site schedules and legislative requirementsEnsure scheduled maintenance and calibration of occupational hygiene equipment is completedMaintain stakeholder confidence and business interests through a high degree of confidentiality and ensure sensitive information is kept secureConduct occupational noise and ventilation surveysProvide respirator and hearing protection fit testing and adviceAssist with the development and implementation of a health monitoring programAbout you: Hold current Surface Ventilation Officer and Noise Officer qualifications and capabilitiesPostgraduate qualifications in Occupational Hygiene or be working towards (highly regarded)Membership with the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists or ability to obtainPrevious experience with the development of occupational hygiene management and monitoring plans and the successful implementation of related programsA demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholdersGold Fields is committed to achieving an inclusive workforce.
