Our purpose is `great care every day'. About your opportunity: Fixed term temporary full-time, commencing ASAP up to 30/06/2025, with the possibility of extension, not exceeding 12 months. This position provides a wonderful opportunity to lead Healthcare Standards function of the Clinical Governance Directorate by directing and coordinating best-practice safety and quality systems for the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (Townsville HHS). Lead a safety and quality culture for the Townsville HHS to deliver the highest standards of service provision. Collaborate with members of the Townsville HHS Executive Management Team, Senior Management Team and others to achieve strategic objectives relating to improved healthcare standards.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following: Expert knowledge in clinical governance systems and processes. Proven ability to implement a structure to facilitate the application of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHSS). Proven ability to identify compliance risk and develop mitigation strategies. Proven ability to drive activities that support organisational and operational sustainability with a culture of accountability, transparency to achieving outcomes. Demonstrated expertise in leadership and service planning and the ability to share information with others and assist them to adapt to change. Proven ability to provide nursing leadership in a multidisciplinary environment and contribute to professional nursing at an advanced level. Demonstrated ongoing professional development and commitment to the development of a work-based culture that promotes and supports education, research and workforce development. What the Townsville Hospital and Health Service has to offer: Generous remuneration package value up to $16,628 p.m. comprising: Salary range of $6683.90 p.f. (Nurse Grade 11) Annual leave with 17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation. Role Requirements: Proof of qualification (Bacheor of Nursing or equivalent), registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate. Highly Desirable : Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus. On call : Appointees may be required to participate in an on-call This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
