About VVED: Northern Health's Virtual Emergency Department began as a pilot project at Northern Hospital Epping in October 2020 to help patients in the north with COVID-19 symptoms, relieve pressure on emergency waiting rooms, and treat more people from the comfort of their home.
The program is now open to all patients across Victoria.
Northern Health is now home to the Victorian Virtual Emergency Department (VVED), which triages and treats patients with non-life-threatening conditions virtually.
VVED is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
This service is the first of its kind in Australia.
About the role: Through visible and accessible leadership, the Nurse Unit Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day nursing operational management while coordinating care that is underpinned by right, safe, coordinated and high-quality care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
The role is responsible for the operational, professional and clinical service management of their staff and resources.
The successful candidate will work closely with the VVED leadership team to ensure performance indicators are met, strategic objectives are delivered, and business growth is achieved.
