Limestone Coast Local Health Network, Mount Gambier & Districts Health Service Permanent full time position Opportunity to lead a nursing team within the largest perioperative service outside metropolitan Adelaide Use your clinical knowledge and experience to provide the pivotal co-ordination of patient care delivery in the Theatre Department at Mount Gambier & Districts Health Service. The main focus of this role is the line management, coordination and leadership of nursing/midwifery and/or multi-disciplinary team activities to achieve continuity and quality of patient care and outcomes.

You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. At least 3 years post registration experience  With prior experience in management and leadership roles, you will be capable of giving supervision to student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses. Use your effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills to maintain a cohesive multidisciplinary team and resolve local or immediate nursing care problems. Knowledge of Quality Improvement Systems as applied to a healthcare setting. Experience in the use of computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite. Applicants with experience in the financial, asset and human resources management in Emergency Department setting or relevant critical care setting will be highly regarded The South Australian public sector promotes diversity and flexible ways of working part-time. Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.
