About your opportunity: Permanent full-time / Location: Townsville The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) will facilitate and provide nursing leadership, support, clinical supervision and mentoring within the nursing team and provide nursing resource, education and strategic management to facilitate the delivery of high quality, best practice care to the clients of the Renal Satellite Unit.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following: Provide expert nursing leadership and coordination within a Renal Healthcare environment. Sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory and the ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines and standards. Integrate the strategic direction and priorities for quality improvement into the clinical service, establishing a quality framework. Advanced leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution and change management skills to ensure customer focused service provision amongst the multidisciplinary team. High level of communication skills required for problem solving and decision making. Use information and reporting systems appropriate to the position. Ongoing professional development of self and others. Understanding of teaching and learning in the health care environment (adult learning principles) with demonstrated clinical teaching and facilitation skills. What the Townsville Hospital and Health Service has to offer: Generous remuneration package value up to $164,696 p.a. comprising: Salary range of $5081.10 to $5516.60 p.f. (Nurse Grade 7) Annual leave with 17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
