About the opportunity
This is a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Nursing Manager to undertake a leadership position in a new and dynamic team. The Rapid Access Hub (RAH) is a 2 Procedure Endoscopy Room, 11 bay first stage PACU with additional second bay PACU prior to discharge. There are current plans to commission the 3rd and 4th room into Operating Theatres for Day Surgery Procedures and a new Ophthalmology Service which is currently being explored.
The NUM RAH will act as a role model to staff and practice within the core values of Mercy Health.
The role is to provide effective leadership and strategic direction in a Say Surgery Model of Care to ensure high quality, clinical patient care and best practice standards, in line with Mercy Health Policy, Procedure and Guidelines, GENCA & AS5369.To tactically manage the operational, financial, human and information resources within the unit liaising with the Divisional Director and Deputy Divisional Director of Perioperative and Specialist Services and other key stakeholders such as the Operating Suite, CSSD, Elective Waitlist Office, Wards/Departments and external Health Services as required.An opportunity to commission 2 x Operating Theatres and plan service delivery of same to promote an efficient and safe Day Surgery Hub.What you'll bring
