This rewarding opportunity will see you join the Mater Hospital in North Sydney as a Nurse Unit Manager on a full-time basis in our large Orthopaedics/Rehab Department, working closely alongside an existing Nurse Unit Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the unit, including staffing, scheduling and budgeting. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, policies and procedures. Promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with patients, families and healthcare providers. Providing leadership, mentorship and support to nursing staff. Conduct Performance Appraisal. SELECTION CRITERIA: QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Nursing Authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years clinical experience in specialty. Post graduate qualification in clinical nursing or management or working towards. A commitment to the Philosophy, Mission, Values and Ethics and Code of Conduct of St Vincent's Health Australia. Strong commitment to providing excellent clinical care. Commitment to continued professional development. Ability to demonstrate clinical knowledge in the specific area of practice with a commitment to professional development and clinical teaching.
