Currently we are seeking a Nurse Unit Manager for the Neonatal Intensive Care unit at Fiona Stanley Hospital The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has 20 beds that provides management of term and preterm infants from 28 weeks gestation, with low, moderate, and high complexity care requirements. It is an innovative and progressive unit providing evidence-based care that leads to optimal patient outcomes for the neonate and family. The Nurse Unit Manager also manages the Nutrition Room and works collaboratively with the Women, Children and Newborn nursing leadership team, achieving results that align with service and organisational goals, whilst working within allocated resources.
In this role you will:
Be responsible for leading and managing the Nursing/Midwifery and Assistants in Nursing to deliver evidence-based care to achieve optimal patient outcomes within allocated resources.Direct responsibility for improving and maintaining standards, developing solutions, and delivering outcomes consistent with service and organisational imperatives and targets.As a key leader in the interdisciplinary team, including FM staff, ensure that the Unit meets the requirement for delivery of a patient centred service against key performance indicators: quality, budget, and human resource.Provide a consultation and liaison service within their area of expertise to relevant internal and external customers.Want to know more?
