The Opportunity:
As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of high-quality clinical care to our residents, ensuring alignment with current best practices.
This role involves planning, allocating and delegating responsibilities while facilitating care in accordance with our established policies and procedures.
Additionally, the Nurse Unit Manager plays a key role in the efficient management of human, material and financial resources, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
Essential: Successful completion of a minimum Bachelor Degree in Nursing (RN) for all aged care facilities.Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Minimum 3 years experience in residential aged care.Working knowledge of the requirements of the Quality Agency Standards, Specified Care and Service Principles of the Aged Care Act, Documentation Standards, Residents Rights, Aged Care Funding Instrument and other relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practices.Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.Sound clinical knowledge and skills in accordance with contemporary practice.Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).Desirable: Previous nursing management experience.Experience and involvement in accreditation processes.To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
