About the Role
As the Nurse Unit Manager 2 Instrument/Circulating you will make an impact by providing day to day operational direction for the perioperative services ensuring efficient and effective management of the area. You will have an opportunity to shape your own team and be a key driver in promoting growth.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee safe, quality care that meets current best practice standardsAssist the Interventional Suite Manager in the leadership and direction of the perioperative servicesEffectively manage human, financial and material resourcesUndertake a hands-on role, where requiredUnderstand legislative requirements, ACORN and sterilisation standardsBe knowledgeable of accreditation processes and Quality/Risk managementWork closely with surgeons and anaesthetists to ensure delivery of high quality care, efficiency of services and to develop a strong working relationship with these doctorsAn experienced manager with a passion for developing talent within the team, you will also possess the following skills and attributes:

Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRABachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalentPostgraduate certificate in perioperative nursingPost graduate qualification in leadership or management (or willing to work towards)Minimum of 5 years' experience in Perioperative Services (operating theatres particularly)Extensive clinical skills and experience working in a perioperative suite with 10 or more theatres undertaking complex surgical proceduresExperience managing a perioperative specialty or departmentProven experience building and leading high performing teams with a service excellence approachPassionate about building strong relationships and delivering exceptional customer serviceDemonstrated experience in managing budget and attainment of targets and KPIsDemonstrated skills in workforce planning, rostering and working within budgeted work hoursHigh level of planning and organising skillsEffective change management and project management skillsStrong influencing skills with a demonstrated ability to adapt personal style to suit a varied audience & a variety of interpersonal stylesWell-developed oral and written communicationHigh degree of computer literacyPrior experience in the private healthcare system will be well regardedBenefits we offer: Discounted onsite parkingDiscounted gym membershipsEmployee Assistance ProgramsSalary Packaging via novated leaseBulk Billing services for employees and immediate family members.For further enquiries: Please contact Alison Carlin Perioperative Services Manager on (02) 9105 5954 or email ******

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives' – Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024, a salary of $65.42 per hour.
