We are looking for an accomplished Nurse Unit Manager to lead the nursing team on our 28 bed Acute ward at Maryborough District Health in this full-time, permanent role.
Now is an exciting time to join the team at MDHS as we work together to transition into our brand-new hospital in 2025.
We currently have a vacancy for a dynamic Nurse leader, who drives excellence in patient outcomes and team performance.
We are searching for someone who is skilled at working in fast-paced environments, has experience in managing a budget and has a patient safety and quality focus.

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Manager to oversee nursing operations and lead a team of nurses.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Managing and developing nursing staff, including recruitment, training, rostering, and performance managementEnsuring optimal staffing levels to provide safe, high quality patient careCollaborating with VMOs and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient careMonitoring patient outcomes, satisfaction scores, and safety and quality key performance indicatorsManaging the nursing department budget and identifying opportunities to control costsTo be successful in this position, candidates must have:
Registration with NMBA as Registered NursePrevious management experience in a hospital settingDemonstrated leadership abilities and interpersonal skillsExpertise in evidence-based nursing practices and patient safety principlesStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilitiesWe provide a competitive salary and benefits package to the right candidate.
