About the role Brisbane Private Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated CSSD Nurse Unit Manager to join the Sterilising Services Team on a full time basis.
The successful applicant should be able to perform effectively in a growing and dynamic clinical environment, liaising with all members of the healthcare team, including medical, clinical, support service staff, and have a positive attitude, flexibility and proven excellent interpersonal skills.
As a key member of the Perioperative leadership team, you will report to and work collaboratively with the Perioperative Services Manager with accountability for the operational requirements of the department. You will coordinate an exceptional service that is evidence based and of a high standard consistent with AS 5369:2023, infection control guidelines and the Healthscope Policies.
About you As an experienced leader you will have extensive experience working in a fast-paced CSSD or Theatre department. You will have demonstrated proven experience, or a keen interest in people development and leading team culture whilst having a thorough depth of knowledge in ACORN & National Standards. Current Registration with AHPRARostering experienceExperience leading high performing teams with a service excellence approachAbility to communicate with influenceProven time management and prioritisation skillsDemonstrate a good knowledge base in labour managementA commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer focused careAHPRA RegistrationMinimum 3 – 5 years' experience working in a senior role within a CSSD, minimum 2 years in leadership/management positionSound knowledge and application of accreditation standards, AS/NZ 5369:2023 standards and HICMRConsultative leadership style and sound negotiation skillsDemonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional organisational skills and attention to detailAn interest in promoting best practice patient care and strong sense of customer serviceA focus on professional developmentWhy Healthscope?
