Queensland Health (Organisation site ) Mental Health Inpatient Unit, Wide Bay Mental Health & Specialised Services, Bundaberg Hospital An exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join the Mental Health Inpatient Unit, Wide Bay Mental Health & Specialised Services Team at the Bundaberg Hospital within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 200,000 residents including several rural communities. The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is a clinical manager, accountable at an advanced practice level for the coordination of patient-centred clinical practice and the provision of human and material resources within the Mental Health Inpatient Unit. The NUM provides professional and operational leadership and direction to nursing staff, as well as operational leadership to administration, allied health, and operational staff, and is responsible for the facilitation and provision of quality and cost-effective nursing services which are consistent with contemporary standards and best practice within the Mental Health Inpatient Unit. The NUM utilises data and information to ensure that the service is organised for safety and efficiency and measures are in place to capture the standard of service delivery. From 9 th December 2019 all new employees will be required to be assessed for their risk of Tuberculosis (TB).
