We believe that we can improve health outcomes by involving our community in the planning and evaluation of their local health services.About you: You are an experienced Nurse Unit Manager with demonstrated high-level operational management skills within a multi-disciplinary team comprised of nursing, allied health, operational and administrative personnel. You are confident in your leadership abilities and have proven experience in strategic planning, workforce development, service evaluation and models of care analysis across the health continuum and can manage a budget effectively. Your opportunity: To provide quality leadership, governance and strategic planning of services delivered with an emphasis on safe, quality, cost-effective, evidence-based care in a multidisciplinary environment. The successful applicant will manage all aspects of operational performance including human, financial and technical resources ensuring alignment with Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) directions, standards, and plans.Your role: Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team that delivers community-based services including post-acute, chronic disease, preventative health, and rehabilitation services to clients from the Tablelands region.Provide effective and efficient management of service in collaboration with the Nursing Director, Allied Health Director, clinical and non-clinical staff to facilitate the provision of quality evidence-based care.Provide leadership to effectively plan, manage, and evaluate community health services to achieve organisational goals across the service.Work closely with Clinical Leads and senior staff across the services to support staff, optimise recruitment and retention strategies, and monitor service provision against performance indicators.Effectively manage self and collaborate with professional resources within the Division and HHS, to develop staff to enable fulfilment of role responsibilities and a Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service employee, not only will you receive competitive remuneration, you will also have access to:Salary packagingAnnual incremental increasesCareer training and developmentWellness programsVaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) evidence as required for your employment in accordance with legislation/government policy and more information about this role, please refer to the attached Role are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity .Applicants are to apply the information requested in the 'how to apply' section is not provided, you may not meet the requirements for further consideration of your application.DocumentsBefore applying for this vacancy please ensure you read the documents below.
