Permanent Full Time – Up to 80 hours per fortnight – To commence ASAP Award: Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024 We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) who will provide emergency care to all patients, utilizing evidenced based guidelines. In this role you will consult with medical practitioners or other members of the health care team for advice when it is identified that the required patient management falls outside the NP's scope of practice.
The Nurse Practitioner role includes assessment and management of clients using nursing knowledge and may include, but is not limited to, the direct referral of patients to other health care professionals, prescribing medications and ordering diagnostic investigations. You will practice autonomously but in collaboration with other health professionals. The scope of your practice will be defined by the context in which you are authorised to practice.
