HITH-N is a virtual eleven bed ward that provides acute care to Launceston General Hospital (LGH) inpatients in their permanent or temporary residence or in a community setting.
It is an interdisciplinary team including medical, nursing, allied health, pharmacy and support staff who work collaboratively together using a holistic, client-centred approach to provide seamless high-quality care and optimise patient outcomes.
Working in this dynamic service will provide the opportunity to:
Support the establishment of an innovative new model of care in Northern TasmaniaWork within a diverse experienced interdisciplinary team in a positive environmentContribute to improving patient flow and community care options for hospital patientsThe Role: The Nurse Practitioner (NP) within the HITH-N service is responsible for:
Acting as a leader, advisor and mentor and working collaboratively with all members of the team to ensure high level clinical excellenceProviding high level clinical leadership in the development, provision and evaluation of the serviceSupporting optimal patient/client/family and community outcomesEvaluating and implementing changes to clinical practiceInitiating research and quality improvement activitiesDetails of Appointment: Fixed term, casual, shift worker position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for a two year period.

Salary: $139,948 per annum (Pro rata).
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023.You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and endorsed to practice as a Nurse PractitionerCurrent Working with Children RegistrationRegistration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.
It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change.
This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
