About the Role As Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing general nursing care to patients with the additional ability to undertake tasks such as assisting in emergency medical responses, prescription of medications, vaccinations, ordering diagnostic investigations and direct referral to other health care professionals.
You will adhere to the competencies, guidelines and codes of professional standards as detailed by Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), as well as Defence Policies and Procedures, legislative requirements, and clinical governance directives.
About Edinburgh Health Centre Edinburgh Health Centre is located 25km North of Adelaide, at RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA.
This super-base house 3500 personnel from the Australian Army and RAAF and is home to the RAAF Institute of Aviation Medicine, currently staffed by uniformed and civilian medical staff. The health centre consists of a 22-bed inpatient facility, staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, along with general medical, dental, physiotherapy, mental health, pharmaceutical, and minor surgical services. The Standard Operating hours of the centre are ******** , Monday-Friday.
About You As the ideal applicant, you will have:
