The Rottnest Island Nursing Post provides accident and emergency care to Rottnest Island residents and visitors.
Our dedicated team includes a nurse practitioner/clinical nurse manager, clinical nurses, and an administration clerk.
As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide a high level of clinically focused, autonomous nursing care.
The successful applicant will have a high degree of systems literacy and will independently manage care across a variety of health systems to maximize outcomes.
You will engage in support of systems; complex and critical thinking; integrate information and/or evidence; judiciously use clinical investigations; and skillfully and empathetically communicate with all involved in the care episode, including the person receiving care and their family and community, and health professional colleagues.
SMHS oversees several key health facilities including the Rottnest Island Nursing Post which is part of the Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospital Group.
SMHS delivers quality, safe, and effective hospital and health services within a catchment area stretching more than 3300 square kilometres across the southern half of Perth.
