This position offers the opportunity to make a difference in a rural setting, providing essential healthcare services in a facility that serves a diverse patient population.Role OverviewAs a Locum Nurse Practitioner, you will deliver advanced clinical care across a range of healthcare services, working independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
This regional facility provides a comprehensive suite of services, including a 24/7 Emergency Department, general medical and surgical care, palliative care, and post-acute rehabilitation.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this locum role, your primary duties will include:Conduct detailed physical examinations, interpret diagnostic tests, and develop care plans for patients across the lifespan.
Prescribe medications and manage pharmacotherapy, ensuring accurate dosages and monitoring for potential side effects or contraindications.
Deliver ongoing support to patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and respiratory illnesses, aiming to improve long-term health outcomes.Provide timely care in urgent and emergent situations, stabilising patients and coordinating transfer when required.Collaborate with physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and external organisations to ensure cohesive and holistic patient care.
