The Department of Health is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join their team working across the North West Coast.

The Role: The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible, within the defined scope of practice, for high-level clinical leadership in the development, provision, and evaluation of the Community Rapid Response Service (ComRRS) within the Community Health Nursing Service North West, ensuring optimal patient/client/family and community outcomes.
The NP is responsible for evaluating and implementing changes to clinical practice, initiating research and quality improvement activities, and will act as a leader, advisor, and mentor for other nurses and clinicians to ensure high-level clinical excellence in the field of chronic, complex care.

The Team: Consisting of Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Registered Nurses, the ComRRS NW is a community-based service designed to help clients avoid hospitals by collaborating closely with their GPs to provide essential care in the home. Led by Nurse Practitioners (NP), the service operates seven days a week from 0730-2130, delivering timely, complex, and client-centered care throughout the North West Coast of Tasmania.
Details of appointment: Permanent, part-time, shift worker position, working 32 hours per fortnight, commencing from December 2024. Note: hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $139,948 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 You'll have access to a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type Benefit available to eligible candidates: Professional development and accelerated pathways. Excellent leave benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro rata), 20 days personal leave (pro rata), and study assistance leave if eligible. Fitness Passport – You and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family. Eligibility: Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and endorsed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner. Current Driver's Licence.
