Nurse / Medical Receptionist

We are a busy Skin Clinic on the northern Gold Coast with a unique opportunity for a medical receptionist who has previous nursing experience and is able to assist with duties in our theatre rooms and wound clinics.
This is a casual position approximately 10-15 hours per week. Applicants must be available to work Monday afternoons and Friday mornings for theatre duties, and also be flexible for cover of sick and annual leave when necessary.
The applicant must be committed and enthusiastic in this role, have the ability to work as part of a team, establish good rapport with our doctors and staff, and be supportive and understanding with our patients.
The successful applicant must have nursing experience, be organised and able to follow procedures, have the ability to multitask, show initiative, and work autonomously within our established team.
Experience in the following is preferred:
Assisting with surgical procedures (our procedures are performed under local anaesthetic) Wound dressing and management Sterilisation of instruments Previous medical reception duties would be beneficial Front reception duties including answering phones, making appointments, billing, and receipting DVA and Medicare claiming Filing and scanning Experience with Pracsoft and Medical Director is an advantage but not necessary (training provided) Initiative and ability to prioritise Good communication skills and support for the doctors, patients, nurses, and dermal therapist Only applications by email will be accepted: Only successful applicants will be contacted.
