About the Opportunity
North South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nurse Manager to lead the nursing services in a management unit, service, complex function or facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, with the ability to develop the potential of others and provide direction and support to staff, serving as a resource person and role model in the clinical setting.
The Nurse Manager will participate in or be responsible for the leadership and management of nursing services to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and efficient use of resources. This role offers the unique opportunity to be a member of the Nursing and Midwifery Governance Committee, contributing to strategic decision-making and shaping the service.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage nursing services to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient use of resources
* Participate in or be responsible for the leadership and management of nursing services
* Develop and implement strategies to improve patient flow and access
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to achieve service goals and objectives
Requirements
* Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Relevant postgraduate qualifications or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD
* Strong leadership qualities and ability to develop the potential of others
