About the Role Join our Paediatric Inpatient Unit (Ward 4A Canopy) as a Nurse Manager, in a fixed term full time position until September 2025, at Monash Children's Hospital.
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Operations, as Nurse Manager (NM) you will lead and proactively contribute to the vision of "exceptional care, outstanding outcomes" of Ward 4A Canopy. With exceptional communication and proven people management skills, you will lead by example and inspire your team to perform at their best whilst working collaboratively and in partnership with all key stakeholders.
As NM you will have accountability for financial and human resource management as well as quality and risk management in the unit, including service improvements and innovative models of care. This is an outstanding leadership role for a dedicated individual passionate about Paediatric Inpatient Care and leading a dynamic team of equally dedicated professionals.
About Us Ward 4A Canopy is a 32 bed General and Specialist Medical, Respiratory and Oncology Unit in Monash Children's Hospital. We care for children from 2 weeks to 19 years of age who present with varied conditions and acuities and have a balance of short and long term admissions. Our nurses have the opportunity to practice across General Medical, but also to gain specialist oncology and chemotherapy nursing skills in a team based model of care.
About you You have been developing your management and leadership skills or you are an accomplished Associate Nurse Manager; either way, you are ready to take this next step in your career. You lead by example, thrive working in a dynamic, fast paced environment and are truly dedicated to delivering a high standard of evidence based nursing care to all of our young patients. You are ready to be part of Ward 4A Canopy and have a genuine interest in mentoring and making a difference in the lives of your team, young patients and their families.
